BECOME AN EXPERT ON THE HIGHWAY

Third-Party Testing

Here at Davis CDL, we are very proud to hold the highest passing rate around, always striving to keep it that way. And to help facilitate that, another special feature we offer here at Davis CDL that separates
us from the rest is Third-Party testing. The State Troopers come out to our campus to test our students and you will take the test in the same vehicle you have became familiar with.
With Third-Party Testing, no matter what state a student is from, Third-Party testing is recognized Nationwide. Once you take your exam, your results are transferred to your home state in real time, available for pickup.

Restriction removal

If you’re a commercial driver, you probably know all about the restrictions that come with a CDL license. One of these restrictions is the automatic restriction, which limits the type of vehicles you can operate. But did you know that removing this restriction can help you gain access to more driving opportunities.

To get a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in the United States, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

Age: You must be at least 18 years old to drive within your state, and at least 21 years old to drive outside of your state. License: You must have a valid non-commercial driver's license.

Experience: license.

English: You must be able to understand English.

Medical exam: You must pass a DOT physical exam, which includes a vision test, hearing test, and blood sugar level check. The exam must be performed by a doctor certified by the FMCSA's National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.

Tests: You must pass written tests on general knowledge, air brakes, and conbinations, depending on the class of license.
